One thing. C-19 (I’m not going to say its name) taught us is health is wealth, and you only live once. Okay, that’s two things. But you get the point! When it comes to exercise, I know people cringe and try to figure everything out at once.
Do I really need to do this type of exercise?
Will doing this exercise help me lose weight? One thing we don’t realize is not all exercise types, work for everyone’s body type You have to find out what works best for you. A prime example…me. I love to dance, and I love to weight lift, but I know my DNA. My body structure is mainly cardio and fewer weights. I’m not going to bulk up, but I’m going to feel thick. (You know the feeling) I’ve done it before and I don’t like how I feel. If I do more cardio and incorporate strength training weightlifting, works for me. Once again, my body structure and how I’m built favors twerk and minor lifting. I was born with thighs and killer calves. So that’s how my body works. Other people’s bodies don’t do what my body does because guess what, everyone is made differently. You must find what works for you.
Fast forward to today. I have this thing called an Echelon bike in my garage. And guess what, I do use it. Now for me, being on a bicycle, a stationary bike is a big thing. Like I stated, I am a dancer. I love to dance, “work something twerk something” that’s my tagline. I purchased the Echelon for my birthday, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Now I know you’re probably wondering, why I purchased one.
Well, my bestie is Mrs. Queen Peloton, who walks the walk and talks the talk. I’ve seen the before and after. Listen, her lifestyle is amazing. She does an amazing job scheduling her workouts and being supportive of her friends who want to start the journey. I just love it. Of course, she’s my bestie she’s awesome. I said let’s give it a try but, I’m going to be cheap, and I’m not gonna get the Peloton, but I’ll get the Echelon. If I use this then, maybe I’ll get the Peloton Well, I started with the Echelon trying to use their classes and I’m just going, to be honest, their classes did not work for me. 
Nope, nope, nope, nope. I opted to purchase the Peloton app. It was a total difference for me using my bike along with the peloton app has been an amazing thing for me. I’m not trying to lose 50 or 60 pounds. (if I do I’m gonna be extra stuck up) I’m trying to be healthy for myself and my family. 
One thing people don’t realize is, yes you may want to be a size 6 and still be mentally fat. Does that make sense? A lot of people don’t understand that health is more than just physical, it’s mental too. When I’m on my bike, I zone out. It is me against me! Also, the instructor too because they get a piece of my mind at times, lol. That’s my mental space where I can release, I can sweat all out, and just be with me.
I enjoy using the Echelon. To me, there’s nothing wrong with the Echelon if it’s that is within your budget rock it out. To me there’s nothing wrong with the Peloton, if it’s in your budget, rock it out. I prefer the Peloton app over the Echelon app. That’s just my preference. I love the instructor instructors, the community, and the black girl magic peloton community on Facebook is amazing. That’s one reason why peloton is so big, is not the bike, because you can get on any bike, and make it work. I’m a prime example of that. It’s the community, and that’s what a lot of people don’t realize…it’s just a bike. When you incorporate all of that with the bike, you get an awesome community. That’s what peloton did!
Now, fast forward to today. I’m trying to figure out how I can sneak a Peloton past my husband. You know I’ve brainstormed this several times, however, he’s really smart so I don’t think he’ll be fooled that I have this new bike in the garage. I’ve been thinking big time, about getting the peloton. Once again, there’s nothing wrong with my Echelon, and using the Peloton app, works for me. I’ve seen improvement in my mental space and my physical space. It doesn’t matter what bike you have, you must use it in a capacity that works best for you.
